Donald L. Schumaker, age 79, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 17, 2024.  Don retired from Amway after 26 years of service. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers when he was younger, working on crossword puzzles, and just being at home.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Wilson, Linda Silvers, and Gloria Shepherd.  Don will be deeply missed by his wife, Becci; children, Kerry, Robie, David, Brandi (Geoff); granddaughter, Maelin (James); great granddaughter, Chloe; brothers and sisters, Harlin (Patricia) Schumaker, William Schumaker, Karen Coger; and many nieces and nephews. A service in remembrance of Don will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 2, at The Pier Church, 4669 S. Division Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49548. Rev. Wayne Ondersma will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Don may be made to Paws with a Cause, or the West Michigan Eye Bank.
