Betty Lou Dunn, of Kentwood, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the age of 84. Betty was born June 23, 1939, in Sabina, OH to Harold and Rachel Lucas. She married Delbert Dunn on December 29, 1959, in Wilmington, OH and the two spent 64 years together. Betty was an Auxiliary member of the Gideons, a member of Kentwood Community Church, and an incredible wife, mother, grandma, and friend to many. She was always going out of her way to make sure others were taken care of and had a smile and laugh that spread to all those around her. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rachel Lucas; brother Robert (Lucas); and daughter, JoEllen Dunn. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Delbert; and son, David (Missy) Dunn of Byron Center, MI; grandchildren, Taylor (Nick) Wyatt, Madison, and Ellie Dunn. Also remembering Betty is her sister, Jan (Hank) Majoewsky of Ocala, FL, as well as many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, at Kentwood Community Church, 1200 60th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI. Please use Ridgebrook St. entrance and door I. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service starting at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bibles.
