On Friday, October 27, 2023, Richard D. "Rick" Huttinga, age 73, of Caledonia, formerly of Jenison, entered into the arms of Jesus and is now fully healed. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey. Rick will be deeply missed by his wife, Teri; his children and grandchildren, Chad and Angie Huttinga (Abbie and Troy Powney, Lucas Huttinga, Rachel Huttinga), James and Amanda Huttinga (Caleb Huttinga, Colin Huttinga), Sadi Huttinga (Cayden Huttinga, Kylie Huttinga), Tara and Martin Lobbezoo (Parker Lobbezoo, Jacob Lobbezoo, Marie Lobbezoo, Clara Lobbezoo); brothers, William and Bekki Huttinga, Larry and Carol Huttinga, Dave and Lynn (deceased) Huttinga; mother-in-law, Lois Menkveld; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Shirley Menkveld, Debra and Michael DeWinter, Todd and Pamela Menkveld; many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Harmony Cares Hospice for the wonderful care given to Rick. A private committal will be held at Dutton Cemetery. A memorial service celebrating Rick's life will be held at 6 pm Monday, November 6, at Caledonia Christian Reformed Church, 9957 Cherry Valley Ave. SE, with Rev. R. Scott Greenway and Rev. Merle Buwalda officiating. Visitation and refreshments will follow the service from 7 - 9 pm at the church.
