Paula A. North (Poley), age 71, of Muskegon, MI, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Paula was a fun woman with a playful personality. She always welcomed people into her life and home with open arms. Most of her time was spent happily serving and taking care of others, from her family life to the customers that became friends at the jobs she held. In her earlier days, she played the piano and organ in her church. Although she loved music, you could always bet that old TV shows and movies would be what caught her attention when it came time to relax. It’s been told that she made the best wet burritos and although they have been often imitated, they have never been duplicated. (…although Derek’s wife will always keep trying!) She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty Poley; and her sister, Pam Moore. Paula is survived by her husband, Dennis; her son, Derek (Nicole) Bogard, daughter, Heather Cates; step-daughter, Ashley North; grandchildren, Cassidy (Jordan) Rodriguez, Bailey (Garrett) Glasstetter; Taylor Bogard, Kaleb Wolffis; Kaylee Wolffis, Kyler Bogard; great grandchildren, Lyla, Daniela, Lillian; sister, Pricilla (Tom) Siegler; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Paula will be held at a later date. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the West Michigan Humane Society, 3077 Wilson Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534.

We were so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Although we didn't stay in touch, we would think of your family when we passed by your old house in Byron. Our deepest sympathy for your loss. She will be missed!
