Coby Huisman, age 89, of Kentwood, MI, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 4, 2024.  Coby was born in 1934 in Leek, Groningen, Netherlands, where she married Dick in 1959.  Together, that same year, they immigrated to Grand Rapids, MI.  Coby is lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 65 years, Dick; children, Sue (Kevin) Prins, Ingrid Huisman, Annette (Ed) Bos, Jack (Cheri) Huisman, Linda (Jim) Blocker, Leo (Jennifer) Huisman; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sister in the Netherlands, Jantje Veenstra; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hendrika Steenhuis, Fran Huisman, Harry (Eitje) Huisman, Kor (Sieka) Huisman.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benji Prins.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 6, from 1:30 to 2:45 PM, prior to the service, at Cutlerville East CRC.  The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, January 6, at Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church, 501 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49548, with Rev. Les Wiseman officiating.  Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in honor of Coby may be made to Excelling Leaders https://www.excellingleaders.org
