Richard Allen Bolt, age 89, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Richard was the beloved son of parents, Richard and Eva (Roskamp) Bolt. Following his graduation from Hope College, Dick (Rich to his family) served in the U.S. Navy. He retired in his 70’s from Good GMC after many years as the sales manager. Dick enjoyed spending time by Lake Michigan and hiked the majority of the lake's Michigan coastline with his wife. He will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Joan (Borst); children, Jennifer Boes, Melissa Bolt, Richard Bolt (Solungga Liu); grandchildren, Kelsey (Brent) Williams, Taylor Boes; great grandchild, Grey; sister, Jane (Tim) Gildner; brother-in-law, Tom (Ardie) Moe; and many nieces and nephews. Rich was preceded in death by his sisters, Dolores and Sally; and his faithful Sunday morning coffee crew of forty-plus years. The family will greet visitors on Sunday, December 10, from 2 to 4 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE; and on Monday, December 11, from 10 to 11 am at LaGrave Avenue CRC. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 11, 2023, at LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 107 LaGrave Ave., SE; with Dr. Peter Jonker and Rev. Chad Boorsma, officiating. Interment will be in Coman Cemetery.
