Marilyn Ruth Dingman, age 87, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 13, 2023. Marilyn was born December 24, 1935, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the fourth of five children born to Ellsworth and Greta Woolpert. After graduating from Creston High School, she married James Dingman. Together they were blessed with three children. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and her family was blessed by her. She enjoyed puzzles and cooking. Marilyn will be dearly missed by her husband of 68 years, James; her children, Mary Dingman, Carol (Tim) Popma, David (Heidi) Dingman; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, William Woolpert; sister, Ruth (Fred) Everett; several nieces and nephews. As Marilyn requested, a graveside committal service will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 16, at Winchester Cemetery, 1400 76th Street SW, Byron Center, with Pastor Cameron Townley officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a time of fellowship and lunch in the Stroo Funeral Home Community Room, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rush Creek Bible Church.
