Evelyn Joyce Mohr, age 81, was born November 20, 1941 in Dorr, MI, and passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023.  She fought the good fight, she has finished her race, she kept her faith, and she is now safe in the arms of Jesus. Evelyn had a wonderful spirit who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing games, and having fun. She retired from Byron Center Public Schools after over 30 years of teaching mostly first grade classes. Evelyn loved her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her siblings, John (Bernice) Mohr, Marlin "Sox" (Birdie) Mohr, Joanne (Dave) Berghorst, Lorraine (Ted) Schreur, Harold Mohr, and Jim (Anne) Mohr. Aunt Ev will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Charlene Mohr; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 pm at Friendship CRC, 190 100th Street, SE, Byron Center, MI and also on Friday, November 10, from 10 to 11 am, prior to the funeral services which will begin at 11:00 am, with Rev. Calvin Compagner officiating. Interment will be in Dorr Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Evelyn may be made to Project Hope or to a charity of your choice.
