Annie Mae Dixon, age 81, of Grand Rapids, entered into the realms of Glory on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Annie was born December 27, 1942, to the parents of Clint and Lizzie Dixon in Tupelo, MS.  She worked as a cook in Tupelo for many years before moving to St. Louis, IL, where she did janitorial for the schools.  Later in 1974, she moved to Grand Rapids, MI, where she resigned until her passing.  Annie loved to cook, play cards and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her father, Clint Dixon, mother, Lizzie Holmes; sisters, Muzetta Hines, Annamarie Smith, Rosalie Dixon, Rosanna Fields, Vickie Whitesides, Birdie Christian, brothers, Willard, James, and George Dixon; grandsons, Terrell Mapp, Demond Bridgeworth; great-grandsons, Justice Hatchett,Jeremiah Talbert; great-great granddaughter, Malaysia Hatchett.  She leaves to cherish, Hattie Schumpert, Tammy Hatchett of Grand Rapids, Milton (Andrea) Hatchett of Arizona, Tyrone (Kesha) Hatchett of Muskegon,Sandra (Vincent) Smith of Benton Harbor; 24 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; sisters, Frankie Whitesides of Grand Rapids, Jessie Holms of Mississippi; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Pamela Allen.  The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, January 24, from 10 - 11 am at Life Quest Ministries Church, 1050 Fisk St. SE, where the memorial service will begin at 11 am. Pastor Jerry Bishop will officiate.
