Christine Diane Kruisenga (Ledger), age 75, of Kentwood, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 27, 2023. Christine was a faithful Christian with a servant's heart. She was a stay-at-home mother of three. She lovingly took on the task of caring for her mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law in their final days. For a short time before her illness, she was employed doing in-home care services for the elderly. She was a devoted member of West MI Prayer group and Grand Rapids First church. She enjoyed praying for her children and grandchildren and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She liked watching Tiger’s baseball and taking long drives in the country with her beloved husband Tom. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael and Jennifer Kruisenga and their children, Clayton (Rachel), Gabriel, Ella, Ava; Ryan and Julie Kruisenga and their children, Tea (Chase) San Miguel, Calvin and his daughter, Brynlee Kay, Samantha; Melissa and Kristopher McNeil and their children, Jose (Taylor) Rodriguez, Christian, Haiden, William; brothers, Scott and Nancy Ledger, Jeff and Heather Ledger, Craig and Jodi Ledger. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, December 5, from 9 - 10 am at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, where the funeral service will begin at 10 am. Pastor John Hanson will officiate. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Edison Christian Health Center who lovingly cared for her.
