Memorials A Christian school of your choice

Edward Morren, age 99, of Jenison, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in his 100th year.  Ed was a blessing to those around him with his humble, gentle demeanor and ever-present smile.  He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and went on to provide for his family, first as a farmer and later in real estate.  He was a humble servant who enjoyed serving his Lord in a variety of capacities in church and on school boards.  Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Grace; sons-in-law, Fritz Deemter, and Paul Bouma Jr.  He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Carol and Denny Broersma, Jack and Betty Morren, Marcia and Vern Huber, Glenda and Larry Kerstetter, Lois and Tom Elzinga, Keith and Kathy Morren; 17 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  The family expresses sincere thanks to Faith Hospice for their loving care.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, from 3 to 6 PM at Covenant Christian Reformed Church.  A private family committal service will be held at Winchester Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Monday, August 5, at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 7171 Willard Ave. SE, with Rev. Evan Heerema officiating.  The service will be live-streamed at www.covenant-crc.org.  The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 5 to 5:45 PM at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to a Christian school of your choice.
