Our spacious East Room serves primarily as a large visitation area, as well as a chapel for services.
Chapel / North & South Visitation Rooms
The chapel, with seating for approximately 200 guests, can also be divided into visitation rooms.

Marjorie H. Schmidt, formerly of Springfield, IL, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Margueritte Hawkins, and sisters, Barbara Angel and Jane Gerard. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Dard; Her children, Staci (David) Zuspann, Grant (Margaret) Schmidt; Grandchildren, Ashley (Joey) Salamone, Michael (Sarah) Zuspann, Jack Zuspann, Colter Schmidt, Hadley Schmidt, Christopher Schmidt, and Hazel Schmidt; Five great grandchildren with two more on the way and many nieces and nephews. Marjorie volunteered for St. John's Hospice for 29 years and the Kumler Food Pantry for 30 years. She also was a Stephens Minister at Laurel United Methodist Church for 25 years. Along with volunteering, she was an accomplished seamstress and amazing cook. She loved to be a stay at home mom and always supported and followed Dard, Staci, and Grant throughout their lives. Family will greet friends and relatives on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 starting at 10 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1100 Lake Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49506, with a memorial service starting at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers please donate to Salvation Army.
Stacey and Grant, I love the photo you posted in loving memory of your mother. It is exactly how I remember her from Owen Marsh days and later. She always had a quick smile that lighten up the room especially when she spoke about her children. Thinking of you and your families during this time. Barbara Lestikow
Margie (and Dard) have been dear friends to me and many others since joining Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids. She will be dearly missed.
