Arlene Kay Van Dyke (Sveadas), age 84, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family and their pets. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, David; her children, David (Deb) Van Dyke, Diana (David) Mete, Douglas Van Dyke; grandchildren, Rayn (Alyssa) Van Dyke, Tori Van Prooyen, Alex (Jill) King, Angel Mills, Rebeca Mete, Mitchell Van Dyke, Shelby Van Dyke; brother, Michael Sveadas; several nieces and nephews; her cat, Molly and grandpuppy, Wesson.  Private family services will be held. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Michigan Humane Society or the Kent County Animal Shelter.
