James H. Weaver, Jr., age 81, of Caledonia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; parents, James and Clara Weaver; brother, Phil Weaver; and brother-in-law, Pete Niewiek. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his children, Amy and Todd Walma, Sara and Dan Beute, Lisa and Todd Guikema; grandchildren, Adam and Mandy Walma, Jenna Walma and Jeff Stokes, Nathan and Brooke Walma, Julia Walma; Aaron Beute, Noah Beute and Olivia McCrory, Maggie Beute, Jordan and Tripp Mueller, Nicholas and Lydia Guikema, Sandra Arias Blazquez; great grandchildren, Jax, Leo, Riley, Maverick, with two more on the way; sister and brothers, Mary and Ron Boes, Bob and Gail Weaver, Steve and Nancy Weaver; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Weaver, Bill and Carol Offringa, Joy and Curt Boss, Mark and Sheryl Offringa; many nieces and nephews. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Samaritas for the exceptional care they provided. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, June 7, from 5 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 8, at Dutton United Reformed Church, 6950 Hanna Lake Ave. SE, with an hour of visitation prior to the service from 10 – 11 am. Rev. Talman Wagenmaker will officiate. The service will be live-streamed at duttonurc.org. Interment will be in Dutton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
