He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marlene (Molly) Groeneveld; his parents, Albert and Catherine Groeneveld; brothers, Ken (Jane) Groeneveld and Lee Groeneveld; and sisters, Grace Tuttle and Lois Zartman. Arnold is survived by his sister, Mary (Bruce) Bendull, and brothers-in-law, Robert Tuttle and Ron Zartman.

Arnold is lovingly remembered by his three children, Brian (Lisa) Groeneveld, Kevin (Deb) Groenveld, and Kristi (Frank) Garzelloni. He was the proud grandfather of Brianna, Michael (Lindsay), Jacob (Skylee), Kaylee, Aaron (Cassi), Kegan (Monica), Emily (Ryan), Nicklas, Shelby, Molly, Jillian, Frank, and Giada. He also cherished his great-grandchildren, Roman, Dalton, Goldie, Gabriella, Lindy, and one more expected to arrive next week.

Arnie graduated from Wayland High School. He served 21 years in the United States Army Reserve before retiring. A competitive and active man, he enjoyed bowling, fast-pitch softball, golf, tennis, and chess. For many years, he worked at the Fulton Street Farmers Market in Grand Rapids, selling fresh produce and spending countless hours carefully selecting fruit from local growers for the family stand.

Later in life, Arnold and Marlene retired to Sebring, Florida, where he stayed active with golf and tennis and embraced the warm Florida weather.

A man who lived life fully and with quiet strength, Arnold will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
