Judith A. (Cousino) Collins, age 81, of Byron Center, daughter of Sadie Kootsier and Frederick Cousino was reunited in her heavenly home with her parents, siblings, and husband, Andrew Collins on Monday, May 4, 2026. Judee enjoyed her family and keeping in touch often was important to her. She loved getting together with her siblings and reminiscing. Later in life she enjoyed her older siblings more as she was the second to the youngest growing up. She had many close years with younger sister, Diane, and older sister, Mary. She shared a huge bond with her brother, Bob, whom she misses greatly as he recently went to his heavenly home. She is survived by her children, daughter Terrie (Troy) Newton of Trufant, MI, Michael (Sarah) Geigle of Baldwin, MI, Wayne (Faith) Jones of Wyoming, MI; grandchildren, Travis (Heather) Hill, Nicholas (Katie) Fiting, Alexis Manciu, Krissy (Mike) Matone. Especially dear to her heart were her great-grandchildren, “The Beauty Girls” Sophia Lynn & Ramona Mae Hill; and the little guy that she was over the moon about, her great-grandson, Coleson Manciu. Also surviving are her siblings, Mary Schaffer of Wyoming, MI, Ron (Ann) Cousino of Hudsonville, MI, and Diane Ashton of North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew " Andy" Collins, her mother, Sadie, father, Fred; siblings, Edith Cousino, Eleanor Cousino Wales, Evelyn Cousino Miner, Fred Cousino Jr, and Robert "Bob" Cousino. Judee had many nieces and nephews and their children whom she was fond of and she talked about often. She had a heart like her mom, Sadie, always wanting to help. She will be remembered for her kind heart, loving relationships, and her stubbornness. Judee shared a close bond with each of her children, each dubbing the other as the favorite. It was very important to her through all of life’s ups and downs that she be remembered as a good Mother, and she was. The family will greet visitors on Saturday, May 9, from 11 AM to 12 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. |
