Beverly Joan (Bishop) Boorsma, age 92, of Byron Center, MI went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 12, 2026.  Bev was a loving and devoted wife of 70 years to her husband, Keith, until his passing in 2023.  Together they enjoyed their times at the cottage up north.  She was a kind and gentle mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty.  Bev is lovingly remembered by her children, Bradford Boorsma, Vicki and Rick Nausieda, Bonnie Boorsma, Brian Boorsma, and Kelley Rose; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, April 17, from 10 - 11 AM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, where the funeral service will be held at 11 AM.  Pastor Chris Rubino will officiate.  Interment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Bev may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 3655 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
