Daniel Vander Kodde, age 71, of Grand Rapids, MI passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Dan worked at Vander Kodde Construction, Dan's Roofing, and retired from Home Repair Services of Kent County.  He enjoyed using his construction skills to help others and was a diehard NBA fan.  Dan was preceded in death by his son, Andre; daughter, Alexandria; and father, William Vander Kodde.  Lovingly remembering Dan are his children: Deante (Jennifer) Vander Kodde, Marcellus Vander Kodde, TeVon Vander Kodde, Aubrie Vander Kodde; stepchildren: Jeanette Bailey, Jewel (Chris) Davis, Jantine Young, Dramitrius Monroe, Eugene Murray; many grandchildren, including the newest addition, Maelynn; former wife and loving companion, Cynthia Vander Kodde; mother, Leora Vander Kodde; brothers, Dave (Donna) Vander Kodde, Thomas (Laurie) Vander Kodde, Timothy (Sharon) Vander Kodde; many nieces, nephews and friends.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 22, at Raybrook Manor Chapel, 2121 Raybrook St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49546, with a one hour visitation prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Memorial contributions in memory of Dan may be made to The Inner-city Church Planting Mission, P.O.
