Sharolyn Kay Barry Jansen, age 67, of Tustin, CA passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Sharolyn was born July 3, 1958, in Wayne Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, Michigan to Richard T. Barry and Lois F. Barry. At age 4.  Sharry asked Jesus to be her Savior.

Sharry is survived by her children, Rory Jansen, and Aaliyah (Jiordan) Jimeson; her grandchildren, Madison E. Martinez, Hailey N. Martinez; her sister, Carolyn G. Hart; and eleven nieces and nephews.

Sharry was a wonderful teacher and mentor to student teachers.  Her passion and joy in teaching impacted her students in so many ways. Sharolyn enjoyed traveling, especially to Latin-speaking countries, languages, classic literature, dinners with friends and spending time with her grand-girls.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68^th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  Visitation will be from 12 to 1 PM and the service will begin at 1 PM.  Interment will be in Blain Cemetery.
