Delores Louise (Zuidema) Terpstra, age 90, of Jenison, MI went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.  Dee was born in 1935, to Harold and Louise Zuidema in Grand Rapids, MI and was an only child.  She graduated from Godwin High School in 1953.  Her life was defined by her faith and salvation in Jesus Christ as her Savior, and where she happily lives today.

Dee was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 60 years.  She faithfully served in Pioneer Girls, Women's Missionary Fellowship and the church choir.  She had a giving heart and a passion for missions throughout her life.  She was blessed to travel to Portugal and Haiti on mission trips.  

Delores married Wilfred Conklin and was widowed in 1957; she then married Royce Terpstra and together they shared 51 years.  Royce and Dee raised their children, William, and Cindy, in Jenison, MI.  She was an Avon representative and hostess at Russ' Restaurant for 40 years. Dee also worked with Royce at Terpstra Floor Covering in Grandville.  They enjoyed traveling and cruises with wonderful life-long friends and spending time with their nine grandchildren.  

 In her later years, Dee became a member of Good News Baptist Church in 2009 and moved from her Hudsonville home to Sunset Manor.  She was known as a sweet and kind woman, a smiling friend, and prayer warrior for her family and others.  Delores loved long walks, sunshine and flowers.  

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilfred Conklin, and Royce Terpstra; sisters-in-law, Shirley Holtrop, Sharon Zahm, Jackie O'Mealy, Kathy Hoogewind, Nancy Wiersma; and many dear friends.  

Dee is survived by her loving family, children, William and Donna Terpstra, Cindy and Timothy Schutter; nine grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Terpstra, Brandon Terpstra, Jacey Terpstra, Chad and Katie Terpstra, Brett and Lexi Terpstra, Cara and Blake Kelly, Caleb and Amanda Schutter, Bethany and Michael Bremer, Rachel and Steven Young, Ethan Schutter; 19 great-grandchildren.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 10, from 5 to 7 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  The funeral service will be held at Good News Baptist Church, 6830 Eastern Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, 49548 on Wednesday, March 11, at 11 AM with a one-hour visitation prior to the service from 10 - 11 AM with Rev. Brian Cederquist officiating.  Interment will be in Georgetown Charter Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in memory of Dee may be made to David's House Ministries.
