Deborah S. Jones, age 75, of Byron Center, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Port Charlotte, Florida. 

Born in Bay City, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Russell "Bud" and June Lohr.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Jones; daughters, Robin Jones, Lisa (Todd) Pulawski; grandchildren, Hudson, Hunter, and Hanna Pulawski; brother, Gary (Anita) Lohr; and nieces, Yvonne Lohr and Chris Lohr Yisa. 

Debby married her soulmate, Tim, 53 years ago. She was faithful, loving, and devoted. They were each other's foundation, sounding board, united front, and best friends. Their love only grew stronger over the years. Together they created their dream life, raised two children, enjoyed a life full of adventure, and lots of camping. From Gun Lake, Interlochen, to the Upper Peninsula camping spots, to Chincoteague Island in Virginia, Coco Beach in Florida, and all the way to the Badlands of North America, Mount Rushmore, and Yellowstone National Park, just to name a few. When the children moved out, the adventures never ended with travel to further places like Alaska, the heart of Europe, with a special stop to Debby's cherished Scotland and Ireland. 

Debby was a beautiful soul who loved God and ALWAYS put her family's needs above her own. The Bible verse that describes Debby in a nutshell is Acts 20:35, remembering the words the Lord Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive".

After graduating from business college, Debby had all sorts of jobs, including climbing telephones for Michigan Bell, driving school buses, selling Avon products, and finally settling into a long career of customer service ending in the health industry. All jobs were centered around giving and making sure she had time for her family. She was involved in all school activities, threw surprise birthday parties, and stayed up late into the night rubbing her children's aching legs from "growing pains". Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. She found joy in cooking and loved giving gifts to friends and family during the holidays (especially Christmas). She had a deep affection for spending time with her grandchildren by continuing family traditions like decorating Christmas cookies. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

 As Debby requested, cremation has taken place. The family will greet visitors on Friday, April 17, from 6 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, and on Saturday, April 18, prior to the service from 10 - 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8436 Kraft SE, Caledonia, MI 49316, where the memorial service will begin and 11 am. Pastor Dave Miller will officiate.
