Lucy Batdorff (Head) age 90, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; son, John W. Batdorff; parents, James and Lillie Head; sister, Ida Mae Freeman; brothers, Carl Head and Julian Head. Lucy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donald (Judy) Batdorff, Tim (Jami) Batdorff; daughter-in-law, Debbie Batdorff; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother, John Head; sister, Joann Thomas; sister-in-law, Nancy Batdorff; and many nieces and nephews. The family will welcome visitors on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 7 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, and on Friday, Feb. 6, from 10 to 11 AM at Banner of Christ Church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Banner of Christ Community Church, 1111 68th St. SW, Byron Center, 49315, with Pastor Mike Caley officiating. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. |
