Charles Lee Boulanger, his name is of Germanic & French origin, meaning free man and symbolizing strength both of which he was. He was born September 21st of 1957 in San Diego to Parents Sharon Meyer & Conrad Boulanger. Charles was 68 when suddenly passed on January 17, 2026. He attended The Most Holy Redeemer School in Tampa Florida until the 8th grade, then attended Tampa Catholic through 11th grade. He then joined the Air Force where he served honorably before returning home to start his family. Charles was a retail Manager for most of his career managing at Zayres, World Bazaar, & Target moving throughout the Eastern US. Though he kept a small circle, he was anything but quiet. He had a bold outspoken personality and a sharp sense of humor that would catch you off guard. He expressed his affection through humor and sarcasm, bringing laughter through his playfulness and candid remarks. He was very known for saying exactly what was on his mind, often loudly. His presence filled a room and those who knew him best will remember his playfulness, honest and unmistakable spark that kept him unapologetically himself. He had a saying about stepping in poop and coming out smelling like roses, no matter the circumstances. Charles loved spending his days watching a good movie or TV show, anything funny or mysterious would get him often re-watching a show and telling you how good it was and that you should watch it. I almost forgot to mention the volume of the TV was at least 80 because he didn’t like to wear his hearing aids. We often laughed with him and at him for his selective hearing. That is a funny memory we will cherish forever. He started his day very early with a hot cup of coffee until the late morning switching to his favorite sweet tea. He loved good food, especially a great cut of steak! When he would eat it was always until he was full, he would lay back rub his belly and smile with pure joy written on his face. He loved laughing and often thought he said the funniest things, loved having free will spending his days starching his clothes and walking, going places like the library, restaurants and occasionally for a little fun he enjoyed talking with a cold beer! Charles is survived by his Daughter, Amber Boulanger; Grandchildren, Ja’laih Suddeth, Jai’Tasia Suddeth, and J.Vion Suddeth; Great Grandchild, Navee Mitchel;, Step Daughter, Gabrielle Brodbeck, (Travis); and 3 Step Grandchildren, Reimy, Alvin, Brookeylnn; Sister, Lori Stohlmann (Jim); Brothers, David Boulanger, Jay Meyer, Kenny Meyer; many nieces and nephews; and companion, Joyce. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Sharon Rose Meyer, Conrad Emile Boulanger; as well as his two brothers, Anthony Allen Boulanger and Michael Emile Boulanger. A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family. Charles‘ memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His quick wit and playful smart-aleck spirit will continue to bring smiles and comfort to all who mourn his passing.
