John H. Winger, age 100, of Cutlerville, went to be with his Lord in heaven on December 18, 2025. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post #225. He sold Ford vehicles for over 50 years, retiring at age 80. John and Jane enjoyed several winters in Venice, Florida and their summers at the trailer on Selkirk Lake. He relished spending time with his family, especially around the holidays. John was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; son, Gary Lee; parents, Henry Winger and Mary (Levi) Clark; siblings, Don (Shirley) Winger, Velma (Donald) Taylor, and Barbara J. Winger. Parents-in-law, Fred and Mary Souter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lynn Gibson, Catherine Conkright, Phyllis (Gordon) Williams, Robert (Mickey) Souter, Vern (Ethel) Souter, Ernest (Sarah) Souter; special nephew, Ronald Muller. John is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lynne Winger; sister, Mary Gibson; special niece, Yvonne Muller and her daughter, Heather Timmerman; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, and Tuesday, from 10 to 11 AM.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11 AM at Stroo Funeral Home, with Chaplain Cecellio Reyna officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery. Donations in memory of John may be made to Edison Christian Life Center or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
