Beverly M. Strait, age 84, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and went to be with her Lord. She looked forward with joy to being reunited with her family who preceded her to heaven, including her husband, Richard Strait, her parents, Oscar and Millie Cory, and her brother, David Cory. Bev was a devoted member of Alaska Baptist Church for many years. She worked as an insurance agent and retired from Farmers Insurance. Bev enjoyed puzzles, playing solitaire, sewing and knitting, and was known for her silly sense of humor. Bev loved her family deeply and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Todd (Astrid) Strait, Kathie (Tim) Chambers, Jim (Shannon) Strait, Diane "Dee" (Russ) Dykema; 23 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; her brother, Ed Cory; her sister, Vicki Steensma; and her nieces and nephews. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, December 6, from 10 - 11 AM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street SE, Grand Rapids, where the funeral service will begin at 11 AM Saturday, officiated by her pastor, Rev. Michael L. Myers. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Alaska Baptist Church.
