Roger Lee Lanting, age 83, of Cutlerville, MI went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.  Roger proudly served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a Navy Vet Commander and member of Amvets Post 23, American Legion Post 154 and V.F.W. Post 7581.  Roger was a truck driver and worked for Keebler for 36 years.  He was a volunteer fireman for Wyoming for 18 years.  Roger is preceded in death by a daughter, Laura; grandson, Brandon Woodward, son-in-law, Mark VanBeek; parents, Bernard and Hermina; brother, Larry; sister, Marilyn Lester; stepsons, Robert Hulst, Richard Hulst.  Roger is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joann; children, Ricky (Kim) Lanting; Pamela Lanting; stepchildren, Sandra VanBeek, Jody Hulst, Nancy Hulst, Robin Hulst; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother and sister, Ronald (Sandra) Lanting, Joan (Mike) Clements; brother-in-law, Jerry (Donna) Lester.  The family welcomes visitors prior to the service on Saturday, November 22, from 1 to 2 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, where the funeral service will begin at 2 PM.  Rev. Steve Postma will officiate.  Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.
