Sheila E. Maxwell, age 75, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved and cared for her family deeply. She was a fabulous cook and an amazing artist and multi crafter. Sheila had a special love for animals, wildlife, and the great outdoors, especially time spent with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elaine Buchanan, and her sister, Diane Dutcher. Sheila will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years, Michael; her children, Lori Ann Maxwell (Bill Clark), Edward Maxwell, and Derrick Maxwell (Melissa); her beloved grandchildren, Douglas (Amanda), Anthony, Cooper, Mason, Makenna, Madison (William), Tanner, Alyssa, Eli, Meghan, Macey, and Mabel; her sisters, Linda Jousma, Dawn Stauffer (Larry), and Debra McVoy (Kevin); her brother-in-law, Johnny Dutcher; her sister-in-law, Ellen Burchell (Bob); as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. As Sheila requested, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
