Mary L. Knight (DeBoer), age 79, of Kentwood, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven on Thursday, October 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Bert and Anna DeBoer; and sister, Kay Havens. Mary loved spending time with her family and her cat, Patches. She had a strong faith in her Lord and was a prayer warrior for those close to her. An amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her children, Patricia Agosto, Timothy Knight, Melissa McGuire, Vicky (Matt) Curtis, Michael Knight; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Beth (Dean) Havens; sisters-in-law, Sharolyn Hill, Patti Knight; brother-in-law, Randy Hill; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Monday, October 13, from 5 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, at Kelloggsville Christian Reformed Church, 610 52nd St. SE, with Rev. Martin Benckhuysen officiating. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 12 noon to 1 pm at the church. Interment will be in Kent Memorial Gardens. The family requests donations be made to Right to Life of Michigan or Faith Hospice.
