James “Jimbo” A. Klein, age 83, of Caledonia, MI, formerly of Hillman, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 11, 2025. 

Jimbo proudly served his country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. A dedicated and hardworking man, he retired from General Motors after many faithful years of service. 

He was preceded in death by his loyal dog, Billy-Bob; his mother, Clara; and his father, Reuben. 

Jimbo will be lovingly remembered by his children, James (Mary) Klein, Scott (Sandi) Klein, David (Kimberly) Klein, and Daniel (Rebecca) Klein; 12 cherished grandchildren; 10 adored great-grandchildren; his former wife and dear friend, Darlene; his siblings, Claire "Sonny" Klein, Edna Balog, and David Klein; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillman Rust Cemetery. Following the burial, a memorial gathering and luncheon will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 441 S State St, where friends and family are invited to share memories and celebrate Jimbo’s life. 

Jimbo’s legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hillman VFW Hall.
