Alice Edith (Pierson) Terpstra, age 97, of Wayland, MI went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2025.  She was born in Pierson, MI and raised in Sand Lake, MI before moving to Grand Rapids, MI after marrying her husband, Al.  Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.  With her wonderful outgoing personality, she had a heart for hospitality and loved helping others.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Allen; and infant son, Allen Mark, Jr.  Alice will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Mark (Sherri) Terpstra, Colleen Sprague, Doreen (Brad) VanDommelen; grandchildren, Kristi, Jennifer, Kari, Paul, Andrew, Leslie, Marcia, Victoria, Jamie, Derek, Kaylee; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, from 6 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 14, at Gaines Church 1612 92nd St. SE, Caledonia, 49316, with a visitation prior to the service from 10 to 10:30 AM.  Pastor Steve DeKok will officiate.  Private interment service will be at Winchester Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Acres of Wayland. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Green Acres of Wayland for their compassionate care and support during the time Alice was a resident.
