Horatio Daniel Coulson, age 81, of Coopersville, MI went to sleep in Christ on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.  Dan enjoyed studying the Bible and graduated from Midwest Bible College.  He was a licensed minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Church of God Seventh Day.  Dan loved telling dad jokes and talking with people.  He enjoyed spending time outside cutting wood.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Anna Coulson; brothers, Edwin, Ben, Wesley; sister, Carrie Hassen; granddaughter, Courtney Coulson.  Dan is lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; children, Moses Nathan (Barbara) Coulson, Richard (Christi) Keely, Paul (Rebecca) Coulson; stepdaughters, Michelle (Daniel) Watters, Melissa (Joel) Velasquez, Melinda (Trevor) Gerber.  Affectionately known as Chee Chaw to his grandchildren, Aaron (Bethany) Coulson, Mitchal (Kayleigh) Coulson, Isaac (Caroline) Coulson, Patience Coulson, Cammie Coulson, Laryssa Keely, Melanee Keely, Mathias Watters, Malachi Gerber, Emma Gerber, Josiah Gerber; 10 great grandchildren with one on the way; brothers, Dick Coulson, Ned Coulson.  A service to celebrate Dan’s life will be held 1:00 pm Friday, April 18, 2025 at Vriesland Church of God 7th Day, 6456 Byron Road, Zeeland, MI 49464; with a luncheon to follow.  There will be a visitation before the celebration of life from 11 am to 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers please send celebration of life contributions in memory of Dan to Spring Vale Christian School.
