 Terry A. Laine, age 79, passed peacefully at home on Friday, January 31, 2025.

Terry had a life long love of sports and always enjoyed a good game. He was a faithful Cleveland sports fan and loved discussing strategy, players and sports history with his family . Terry also had a love and knowledge of chemistry of which he delighted in sharing with even the smallest of his grandchildren.

Terry would say that his life really grew as he met the love of his life, Julie and got to share in the love of her family that quickly became his.

Terry’s love for his family was felt by his awareness, ability, and efforts to safeguard and protect from even the smallest of life’s bumps and it was felt until the very end as he promised each grandchild his continued presence in his next role as their guardian angel.

Terry will be be lovingly remembered by his wife, Julie; his children, Jeff (Susan) Laine, Deborah (Dave) Kircher; his grandchildren, Allison, Jay, Brandon, and Ainsley; a great grandson, Jude; his step children, Anthony (Dixie) Schexnaildre, Aubrey (General) Grant,  Monica (Robert) Cobbs; Josh (Jamie) Schexnaildre; his step grandchildren, Ariana (James), Pablo, Madison, James, Evelyn, Reagan, Bishop, Elliot, Lainey, Auggie, Stassi, and Rockwell; his step grandchildren, Oliver and Joey; his brothers, Tom (Tammy) Laine, James (Carol) Laine; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane (Don) Klein, Jack (Theresa) Young’s, Michael (Lynne) Straney, Jane Young’s; many nieces and nephews. As Terry requested, cremation has taken place. His family will celebrate his life in a private ceremony in the family home. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
