He will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 1/2, Donna; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Linda (Del) Meyer, Jo Ann (Duane) Terpstra, Bonnie (Keith) Vrieswyk, Jack (Sharon) Door, Sandy (George) Sorenson, Pat (Dan) Andrakiwcz, Gina (Randy) Evers; and many nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Lemmen Holton Pavilion and Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center for the exceptional care they provided. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, from 4 - 7 pm at Stroo Funeral Home and Thursday, February 6, from 10 - 11 am at Frontline Bible Church, 8283 Pfeiffer Farms Dr. SW, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Memorial contributions may be made to Frontline Bible Church, 8283 Pfeiffer Farms Dr. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Aftercare Information

  • Our care for the families we serve does not end when the service is over.  In addition to offering assistance with social security, veteran’s benefits, and life insurance claims, we also contact each family within the weeks following the loss of a loved one to make sure all of their needs are being met.  There are many details that need to be attended to, and the process can seem overwhelming.  It is our desire to make sure each family receives the guidance needed to make that process as smooth as possible.
  • Because each family we serve has a unique set of circumstances, each family’s needs following the death of a loved one is also unique.  Our aftercare coordinator will be able to provide contact information for the various grief support resources that will best meet the individual’s need.
