Jordyn Elizabeth Lanning, age 26, of Kentwood, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Jordyn had a heart of gold and soared at all she did. Her cats, Sylvester and Casper, were her babies and her pride and joy. She was a phenomenally talented cosmetologist and took great pride in her work. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Karen Lanning, grandfather, Francis Kane; and one of her best friends, Renee Koepke. Jordyn will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her parents, Carrie and Kurt Kane; David Lanning and Melissa Holbrook; siblings, Travis Lanning, Isabella Kane, Addyson Kane, Olivia Kane; grandparents, Dave and Barb Wiebenga, Vernon and Flo Lanning, Roberta Kane; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.  Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jordyn's life at a visitation on Sunday, February 2, from 2 - 5 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.
