Louise Marie (Dettmann) Posthuma age 98, of Kentwood, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Millard. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Richard (Debra MacGregor) Posthuma, Jane (Michael) Fleck, and Carole (Scott) Neve; grandchildren, Angela Hoogeveen, Noah Posthuma, Rachelle Cooper, Scott Neve II, Ariane Hedlund, Rachel Braspenninx; great-grandchildren, Christina Neve, Coda Valentine, Grace Hedlund, Michael Hedlund; sisters-in-law, Marlene Rose and Regina DeKuiper and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 4-7 pm at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Grand Rapids, MI.  The Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8436 Kraft Ave SE, Caledonia MI, with Pastor David Fleming, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Corners Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Louise may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
