Lydia Mahon, age 91, of Kentwood, MI, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 24, 2025.  Lydia enjoyed these hobbies: cooking, sewing, knitting, shopping, music and dancing. She was preceded in death by her son, Edgar Mahon; her parents; and her siblings. Lydia loved her family very much including her children, James (Tonia) Mahon, Michael (Connie) Mahon; grandchildren, Becky Bethel, Tasha Sairls, Brandon Mahon, Jackie (Brock) Willemin, Heather (Mark) Symons, Leah (Tom) Symons; 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Hannelore (Dieter) Thelemann; and nieces and nephews. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday January 27, from 10 - 11 am at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Pastor Andrew Bartholomew will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mark Lutheran Church, 1934 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508.
