Doris Roszell (Bos)

Cemetery: Private service at Pine Hill

Doris Roszell, age 96, of Caledonia, MI.  On July 15 of 1928, the world received Doris Bos being born in a little house in Highland Michigan; 96 years later she departed from us while in her sleep in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 23 of 2025.  One of Doris' highest desires was to be a housewife and a mother, and for most of her life she was that.  She married Thomas Roszell in the early 1950s.  Other desires were painting and sewing.  She was preceded in death by Thomas Roszell, her daughter, Bonnie Roszell, her sisters, Anna Mae Williamson, Segrin Smith; and brothers, Bill Bos and Frank Bos.  Doris will be lovingly remembered by her sons, William Roszell, Mark Roszell (Lori Bronkema); 2 grandchildren, Stacy and Kristyn (Cullen) Hillary; and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.  A private graveside service was held in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Our sympathies and support to Bill Roszell who has loved his mother unreservedly. Bill spared no expense to support his mother even when he had to do it alone. He took care of her when she was home and visited her daily when she was transferred to a nursing home. With stellar and exemplary magnanimity, humility, and generosity he devoted all of himself to caring for his mother. Bill, you are an example to us all. May the Lord fill your void with His love and goodness. May His grace be your daily portion. May He restore joy to you through HIs unmatchable consolation. May He bless you abundantly.
