Rickey E. Krause, age 62, of Grand Rapids, ran into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Rickey's joy in life was his family and he always put them first. He was a longtime member of Grand Rapids First, which has been the source of family, foundation and support throughout his life. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Lori; daughter, Bonnie Krause (Nedzad Selmic) and Malissa Michael (Jesse Hughes); grandchildren, Gabrielle, Natalie, Jax Krause, Taite Michael; brother, Ron (Debbie) Krause, sister, Raellen Dietz; brother-in-law, Tom Tusing; sisters-in-law, Deborah Newsted, Jamie Tusing; and many nieces and nephews.  The family will welcome visitors on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 1 to 2 pm at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Grand Rapids, MI, where a service in celebration of Rickey's life will begin at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Cynthia Palmer, officaiting.  Interment was in Dutton Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at Meijer Heart 4th floor for their amazing care of Rickey and his family. Contributions in memory of Rickey may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
