Visitation: Wednesday, December 4, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home.  Thursday, December 5, from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service

Maxine Violet Adamson, age 83, of Walker, MI passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, and has been reunited with her husband, Stanley Adam Adamson; and granddaughters, Holly Scherer and Nicole Dykstra.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Max Hermance and Violet Knappen; brother, Thomas Hermance.  Maxine is survived by her children, Melody Dykstra, Matthew Adamson, Donna Scherer; grandchildren, Matthew Adamson, Stephanie Thompson, Theodore Scherer, Bryan Scherer, Andy Scherer, Paul Scherer; great-grandchildren, Alani Thompson, Dominic Adamson, Michael DeJager, Nicole Thompson, Theo Scherer, Emma Scherer, Zeke Scherer; great-great-grandson, Bentley Vann; brothers, Larry (Mary) Knappen, Michael (Mary) Knappen, Patrick (Luanne) Knappen, Denny (De) Knappen; sisters, Sandy (Nick) Bierema, Denise VanderMay; many nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, at Stroo Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 5, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service from 10 - 11 AM.  Daughter, Melody Dykstra and son, Matthew Adamson will officiate.  Interment will be in Kent Memorial Gardens.

It is devastating to lose a parent. I'm so sorry for your lose and hoping that you can remember all of you family and friends that are here for you during this sad time. Your mother, I know was very important to you. Remember all of the great and fun times you had with her. Those memories will will keep you going.
