Dona L. (Crosby) Maier, age 91, beloved wife of Simeon Maier, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 16, 2024, and now resides with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Dona loved her family and her life. She spent many years canning, boiling maple syrup, picking peaches, and bringing dinner to the field. She even spent a few years milking cows. She was very involved volunteering at Gaines Church, where she attended for 70 years. At their roadside farm market where she sold maple syrup and peaches she loved to talk to her customers and talk about Jesus. Dona was blessed with three children, Kim Malski, wife of Edward Malski, Simeon Maier II, husband of Cheryl Maier, and Kelly Dutcher, who passed away four years ago and was the wife of Dave Dutcher, now married to Dee Bellows. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary and Jane Crosby, Jim Crosby; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Merle Maier, David and Marlene Maier, Doris Magle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. I remember when Sim brought her to meet the family and my sister Lois and I were in awe with her kindness, and her beauty.
Dona worked very hard all of her life, and she certainly took pride in the quality of syrup and all the goodies she made and marketed.
She will be greatly missed and ALWAYS REMEMBERED as WONDERFUL !
