Richard Neil Purdom, age 79, of Cutlerville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Richard enjoyed watching his grandchildren's activities, playing and listening to music, and fixing cars.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Lynn; parents, Richard and Alice Purdom; and brother, Dan Purdom. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Catherine (Chad) Buikema, Tina Purdom; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Naomi, Jackson; brother, Peter Purdom; sister, Deb (Kim Fox) Purdom; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barry (Marilyn) De Groot, Bonny (Bob) Messer, Bryan (Sue) De Groot; along with many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, November 14, from 4 - 7 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 15, at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 7171 Willard Ave. SE, with Rev. Evan Heerema officiating. Interment will be in Blain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Renew Disaster Response.
