Jeffrey Lee Weiden II age 42, passed away on Tuesday, September 24 and is now at peace in the presence of Jesus. Lee had a strong faith in Jesus which was instrumental in his role as a loving father, devoted son, brother, and uncle. He took pride in being a spiritual leader of his family. One of Lee’s greatest joys was cooking. He enjoyed cooking for his boys on a daily basis and on weekends and holidays treated his extended family with his homemade concoctions, especially smoked meats. Lee shared this passion with his son Kellen, who enjoyed learning from and spending time with his father in the kitchen. Lee was also an avid movie lover. Lee and his boys regularly watched movies together. He and his son Kason would frequently discuss and critique movies. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Lee loved playing and watching sports. He started playing sports as a small boy and still regularly enjoyed evenings shooting baskets or hitting wiffle balls with his son Kyler. The two of them also enjoyed co-managing their fantasy sports teams together. Lee aspired to be the “fun uncle” and livened up family gatherings with his outgoing and fun loving nature. His energetic personality was adored by his nieces and nephews. Lee will be greatly missed by his sons, Kellen, Kason, Kyler; parents, Jeff and Peggy Weiden; sister, Carly Weiden (and Matt Clouse); brother, Matthew Weiden (and fiancé Kate Kober); nephews and nieces, Brady Weiden, Brynley Weiden, Breslyn Clouse, Brycen Clouse; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will welcome visitors on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 1 to 3 pm at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. There will be a memorial service at 3:00 pm; Pastor Ken Nash, officiating, followed by a luncheon. Contributions in memory of Lee, can be made to Adult and Teen Challenge Northern Indiana or Celebrate Recovery.
