Gerald William Woltjer, age 87, of Byron Center, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 23, 2024.  Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Donna.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Dennis Woltjer (special friend, Sandra Stoike), Laurie (Jack) Ellens, Duane (Barb) Woltjer, Dan (Mary) Woltjer, Linda (Mark) VanTongeren; twelve grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Theodore (Mary) Woltjer, Ken (Mary) Woltjer, Margaret Woltjer, Jim (Marilyn) Woltjer, Patricia (Jim) Beelen; and sister-in-law, Chris Fryling. The family extends heartfelt thanks for the caring staff at Byron Manor, Faith Hospice, and all who so lovingly cared for their Dad.  A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, from 1 – 3 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508, where a memorial service will follow at 3 pm, officiated by Pastor Ron Noorman.  Interment in Winchester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in honor of Gerald may be made to Faith Hospice.
