Jerry Duane Jackson, age 93, of Newaygo, was called home into the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 19, 2024. Jerry was a hard worker and retired from Reynold Metals. An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthann, son, Rick; brother, Wally Jackson; sister, Vivian Slaghter, and parents, Clare and Virginia Jackson. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mike (Ellyn) Jackson, Cathy Linington, Janet Hardin, Joanne (Pete) Doxtater, Judie Chorman; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Avery; brother-in-law, Jim Slaghter; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service in Blain Cemetery for Jerry and Ruthann will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice.
