Thomas "Thom" Erness King, Jr., age 57, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.  Thom loved the beauty and outdoors of Michigan.  He was an avid cook, enjoyed family outings and yard parties, and was a huge Detroit Lions and Tigers fan.  Thom was preceded in death by his companion, Paul "Bryanne" Kudelka.  Lovingly remembering Thom is his mother, Janice Price and her husband, George;  father, Thomas Sr. and his wife, Elaine; sisters, Kim (Scott) Caceres, Kristina (Bet) King, Karrie (Michael) Turashoff; step-brother, James "Jay" (Sarah) Leach III; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He will also be dearly missed by his friends, including, Margie Rockhill, Doug Johnson, and Tom Alton.  As requested, cremation has taken place.  A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, 8935 Thompson Rd., Lake Odessa, MI 48849.
