Nancy L. Christensen, age 81, of Venice, FL passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, and is reunited with her husband in heaven. She showed horses and was a multiple champion in the American Quarter Horse Association around the country. Nancy loved her Corgi dogs and would winter in Venice, FL and was known as the Corgi Lady as she and her dogs were a common sight on her golf cart on Venice Islands. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents, Joseph and Alice Mihalik. Lovingly remembering Nancy is her son, Tim (Kevin) Christensen, daughter-in-law, Kathy Christensen; sister, Paula Harmon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry Christensen, Marilyn (Craig) Schaefer, Dorothy (Michael) Kaminski; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, from 6 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508. The funeral service will be held at Ideal Park Christian Reformed Church, 320 52nd St. SW, Wyoming, 49548, on Saturday, August 10, at 11 AM with Pastor Diane Schrotenboer officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Agape Flights.
