Joyce A. (Jager) Dewey, age 89, of Wayland, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Joyce and her husband, Jack, shared nearly 71 years of marriage and built a happy home together. She enjoyed butterscotch candies, traveling, and listening to Gaither Music. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian; and three brothers, William, James, and David Jager. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jack A. Dewey; children, Cynthia (Dale) Siekman, Pamela (Ken) Gibson, Douglas (Valerie) Dewey; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; special niece, Valerie (Dale) Harrison; and many other beloved nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Sunday, July 21, from 2 - 4 at Stroo Funeral Home; and Monday, July 22, from 10 - 11 am at Stroo Funeral Home where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Pastor Mike Hasper will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or to a mission of your choice.
