Ruben Allegue, age 71, of Byron Center, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, and went to be with his Lord and Savior.  Ruben was an avid cyclist and pickleball player. He also enjoyed model trains and collecting baseball cards. He loved his family dearly and was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Andres Allegue; and his father-in-law, Jose Sierra. Ruben will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 52 years, Delia; his children, Delia (Timothy) Roberts, Marlene (Yoel) Alvarez; grandchildren, Adam (Livia) Coipel, Allison (Noah) Lubben, Joel Alvarez, Jordan Alvarez, Alex Roberts, Jaydan Alvarez; great grandchildren, Payton Lubben and Emerson Coipel; his mother and step-father, Maria and Olidio Lopez; his mother-in-law, Juana Sierra; sister-in-law, Margarita (Agustin) Hernandez; nephews and nieces; aunt, Ines Hernandez; and his beloved dog, Benji. The family will greet visitors on Friday, June 7, from 4 - 7 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, at 11:00 am. Rev. Mark Heijerman will officiate. Interment will take place in Blain Cemetery.
