Albertha “Betty” Diedering, age 96, of Winter Haven, FL (previously of Kentwood, MI) went to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Hattie Halma, her late husband: Herman Diedering; son: Jerry Diedering; immediate family: Henry (Jean) Halma, Keith Horstman, Henry (Tena) Diedering, John (Ruth) Diedering and Jakob Jonkman. Betty is survived by her children: Harold (Marcia) Diedering and Dean (Susan) Diedering; her grandchildren: Jessica (Rich) Kafulani, Ryan Diedering, Jason (Rachel) Diedering, Julie (Charles) Conn, Stephanie (Chris) Powell, Renee Diedering, Joy (Robert) Christie, Victoria Balzeski and Charles Balzeski II; her great-grandchildren: Chloe Bultman, Matthew Powell, Mikayla Kafulani, Hailey Bultman, Jada Kafulani, Hannah Conn, Elizabeth Powell, Abigail Balzeski, Karson Bultman, Jonathan Evers, Rose Mary Diedering, Hendrik Diedering, Bennett Diedering and Charlene Blough; her sisters: Eunice Jonkman and Ann Horstman. Betty was a long-time member of Trinity United Reformed Church. She enjoyed spending her time at both her Michigan and Florida homes. She loved spending time with family, gardening, knitting and crocheting. She did everything in life to the fullest and with the fullest heart. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend who took care of all her loved ones. Betty’s Celebration of Life is to take place 11 am on June 29, 2024, at Sandy Pines Chapel in Dorr, Michigan with a luncheon (open house style) to follow at the Sandy Pines Pavilion. Memorial Contributions in Betty’s honor can be made to Trinity United Reformed Church Education Fund.
