Polly Ann VanderStel, age 88, of Alto, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Louis; brothers, Richard Crosby, Dan Crosby; and sisters, Melva Oesch and Susan Abraham. Polly will be lovingly remembered by her children, Beth (David) Sabin, Peggy (Ross) Schut, Louis VanderStel, Mark (Dianne) VanderStel; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Dona (Sim) Maier; brothers, Gary (Jane) Crosby, Jim (Cheryl) Crosby; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marge (Fred) Corson, Maynard (Arva) VanderStel, Connie VanderStel, June Stutzman; and many nieces and nephews. The family will welcome visitors on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10 to 11 am at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, Grand Rapids, MI; where a service to celebrate Polly's life will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Whitneyville Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Polly, may be made to Whitneyville Old Time Methodist Church or Faith Hospice.
